Starlight Shrine's Table at Park Chapter OES Summer Affair

I would like to ask anyone who has something worthwhile, that they would like to donate to our table at the Park "Summer Affair", to please bring it to Shrine in June, so we have some idea of what we are going to have to sell.

The Park Chapter OES "Summer Affair" will be on Wednesday, July 8, 2009, at the Masonic Temple located at 632 E. Charleston Blvd., Las Vegas, Nevada. It will begin at 5:00 p.m. If you want to eat sloppy joes and snacks, the cost is $5.00 per person, payable at the door. Free admission for shopping!

Joys and Concerns on May 20, 2009

Joy!

Congratulations to Soj. Ron Anderson and his new wife, Janet (formerly Urso). They were married on May 5, 2009. I had a chance to meet Janet while at the Order of the Ameranth's Grand Court on May 7, 2009 and she is a very lovely woman. They make a beautiful couple and we wish them the very best!

Soj. Roger Noyes' surgery was successful yesterday. He is still in the hospital in Portland, OR. He and his wife, Leigh, will be there for the week before he is released to make the trip back home to Bandon.

Concern

Soj. John Castro had an accident while they were on their cruise. He hit his head & had a concussion & 3 stitches on the back of his head. He spent 4 days in the hospital in San Diego, cutting their cruise short. He is doing well now, but tires easily.

Bunco Party August 1, 2009

Join us for our Bunco Party to be held on Saturday, August 1, 2009, beginning at 11:00 a.m. at the Masonic Temple, 632 E. Charleston Blvd., Las Vegas, Nevada. The cost is $5.00 per person payable at the door. No reservations required. Summer theme ... wear shorts / cool clothing. Please come join us for food and drinks, door prizes, and lots of fun!

Ceremonial Meeting to be held on Saturday, June 6, 2009, starting at 3:00 p.m. There will be a floor work rehearsal to start promptly at 1:30 p.m. that afternoon prior to the meeting. After the meeting, we will be supporting the Job's Daughters at their annual scholarship fundraising dinner. The spaghetti dinner cost is $15.00, payable at the door that evening.
