50th Installation of Officers with April Birthdays

Congratulations to Soj. Fran Ruszkai, WHP, and her officers for 2010-2011 on a successful installation last night. I'll post the photos when I get back home again on Tuesday night as I don't have my cable for my camera with me today.

Urgent Prayer Request for Chet Wellborn

Please pray for my grandson, Chet Wellborn, and his family. This is what his mom posted on facebook today:

"Chet needs some prayers. His counts have dropped to a critical level, his immune system is almost nil, his headache won't go away, and his regular doctor is on vacation until Monday."

Services for Loren Bates:

Just heard from Shirley Bates that Loren's services will be held at the Sierra Hills Memorial Park & East Lawn Mortuary, 5757 Greenback Lane, Sacramento at 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 20th. Continue to keep Shirley and her family in your prayers during this dfficult time.

Sojourner Jeanette Callis, Worthy Organist of Lebanon Shrine is in bereavement of her sister.

Our 50th Officer Installation will be held on Saturday, March 27, 2010, at 7:00 p.m. The installation will be an open installation, so please invite your friends and family to attend. Soj. Fran has asked that all officers arrive by 6:00 p.m., if possible. Her theme will be centered around celebrating our 50 years as a Shrine and her colors will be pink and yellow.

I have very much enjoyed this past year as your Worthy High Priestess and thank each and every one of you for your love and support.

Soj. Fran has asked me to continue to maintain our blog, which I am happy to do. If you have Joys and Concerns or other news to share, please be sure to keep me informed, along with notifying Soj. Sharene.

Soj. Dor Jahnke Services in Illinois Information

Funeral services for Soj. Dor Jahnke will be held on Thursday, March 4, 2010, in Illinois. Visitation is from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. with services to follow. Currently, there are no services planned in the Las Vegas area.

Her daughter, Soj. Sharene Parini stated, "I think at this point with Illinois having Star and Shrine services, I don't know (when asked about having a WSOJ service in Las Vegas). Dor sure loved her Orders and took a lot of pride in being a member. I'm not sure she is a 50 year member, but she's very close. That meant a lot to her."

Please keep Soj. Sharene and her family in prayer for safe travels as they journey to and from Illinois.
